Lanny McDonald, born on February 16, 1953, in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player renowned for his scoring prowess and leadership on the ice. A right winger, he was drafted fourth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1973 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut in the 1973-74 season. McDonald played for several NHL teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies, and most notably, the Calgary Flames.
Throughout his 16-year NHL career, McDonald achieved significant milestones, including being named an NHL All-Star multiple times and winning the Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989.
