Biography
Larry Little, born on November 2, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is a former professional American football player who distinguished himself as a guard in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Bethune-Cookman University before being drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 1967 NFL Draft. Little’s NFL career spanned over a decade, during which he became renowned for his exceptional blocking abilities and tenacity on the field.
Little is best known for his tenure with the Miami Dolphins, where he played from 1970 to 1980. During his time with the Dolphins, he was a key player on the offensive line that helped the team achieve an undefeated season in 1972, culminating in a Super Bowl VII victory. Little was selected to the Pro Bowl five times and earned All-Pro honors on multiple occasions, solidifying his status as one of the top offensive guards of his era.
Following his retirement from football, Larry Little continued to make significant contributions to the sport as a coach and mentor.
