Lawrence McCutcheon, born on June 2, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, is a former professional American football player who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). After an impressive collegiate career at San Diego State University, where he set multiple rushing records, McCutcheon was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 10th round of the 1972 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Rams, contributing to their offense with his speed and agility.
Throughout his NFL career, McCutcheon played primarily for the Los Angeles Rams from 1972 to 1979, followed by stints with the Green Bay Packers and the Vancouver Canadian Football League team.
