Leon Gawanke, born on May 31, 1999, in Witzenhausen, Germany, is a professional ice hockey defenseman known for his strong offensive abilities and solid defensive play. Gawanke was drafted 144th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 5th round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
