Liédson da Silva Muniz, commonly known as Liédson, was born on December 17, 1977, in São Paulo, Brazil. He began his professional football career in 1996 with the club Corinthians, where he quickly made a name for himself as a prolific striker. Over the years, he showcased his scoring ability in multiple Brazilian teams, notably excelling at Esporte Clube Bahia and Clube Atlético Mineiro.

Liédson's most prominent club tenure was with Sporting CP in Portugal, which he joined in 2003.
