Lori Chalupny, born on January 29, 1984, in St. Louis, Missouri, is a prominent former professional football (soccer) player who represented the United States national team. A skilled defender and midfielder, Chalupny gained recognition for her versatility on the field and her contributions to both club and international play. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was part of the Tar Heels women's soccer team, winning multiple NCAA championships.
Chalupny made her debut for the U.S. national team in 2005 and went on to earn 75 caps, scoring 7 goals throughout her international career. She was a key player in the squad that reached the semifinals of the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup and contributed to the team's gold medal victory at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
