Louie Belpedio is an American professional ice hockey defenseman, born on May 14, 1996, in Skokie, Illinois. He was drafted in the third round, 80th overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft after a standout junior career with the United States National Team Development Program and later with the Miami University RedHawks in the NCAA. Belpedio is known for his two-way playing style, contributing both defensively and offensively from the blue line.
Beginning his professional career with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League (AHL) following his collegiate tenure, Belpedio quickly made a name for himself with consistent performances.
