Mack Lee Hill was an American football running back born on August 17, 1940, in Gainesville, Texas. He played college football at Southern University before being selected in the 1962 NFL Draft by the Dallas Texans, where he made a significant impact as a rookie. Hill was known for his speed and agility, quickly establishing himself as a key player in the Texans' offensive lineup.
During his career with the Texans, Hill recorded impressive statistics, rushing for over 600 yards and scoring multiple touchdowns in his debut season. His performance earned him recognition as one of the league's promising young talents and contributed to the Texans' eventual transformation into the Kansas City Chiefs. Tragically, his burgeoning career was cut short when he died in a car accident in 1965 at the age of 24, after just three seasons in the league.
