Major Wright, born on July 1, 1988, in Coral Springs, Florida, is a former professional American football safety. He attended the University of Florida, where he played college football for the Florida Gators and earned recognition for his strong performances, particularly in key games of the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Wright was a vital part of the Gators' defense during their 2008 BCS National Championship win.
Wright was selected in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, where he played until 2013. During his time with the Bears, he developed a reputation for his hard-hitting style and playmaking ability, recording a total of 143 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 2 defensive touchdowns over four seasons. Following his tenure in Chicago, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, continuing to showcase his skills as a reliable safety.
