Marcelo Ríos, born on December 26, 1975, in Santiago, Chile, is a former professional tennis player who achieved significant acclaim during the 1990s. Known for his exceptional skills on the court, Ríos became the first Latin American player to attain the world No. 1 ranking in singles, achieving this milestone on March 30, 1998.
