Marcy Williams is a retired American professional basketball player, born on March 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California. She played the forward position and gained prominence during her collegiate career at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection. Williams led her team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and became known for her scoring ability and defensive skills.
In 2007, Williams was selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. Over the course of her six-year professional career, she played for the Liberty, the Phoenix Mercury, and the Seattle Storm, earning an All-Star selection in 2010. Her career highlights include averaging 15.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game during her peak season, as well as being an essential part of the Phoenix Mercury's 2012 championship team.
Upon retiring from professional basketball in 2013, Williams transitioned into coaching and mentoring young athletes.
