Marek Zidlicky, born on February 3, 1977, in Vsetin, Czech Republic, is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman known for his offensive skills and playmaking ability. He began his career in the Czech Extraliga, where he played for HC Vsetin and gained recognition for his performance, leading to his selection in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, where he was chosen in the sixth round by the New Jersey Devils.
Zidlicky's NHL career spanned over a decade, during which he played for several teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild, New York Islanders, and the New Jersey Devils again. He was known for his powerful shot and exceptional vision on the ice, accumulating over 350 points in regular-season play.
