Margaret DeCiman is a retired professional basketball player known for her exceptional skills on the court and her contributions to women's basketball. Born on April 12, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she exhibited talent in athletics from a young age, leading to a standout high school career at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. DeCiman went on to play college basketball at the University of Connecticut, where she was a key contributor to the team's success, helping them secure two NCAA championships during her tenure from 2005 to 2009.

After graduating with a degree in sports management, DeCiman was drafted third overall in the 2009 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks.
