Mark Krys, born on May 29, 1969, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman who gained prominence in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1990s. After being selected 19th overall in the first round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers, Krys quickly established himself as a reliable two-way defenseman.
