Mark McMahon, born on February 10, 1978, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his exceptional skills as a defenseman. He began his junior career playing for the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he demonstrated his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively. His impressive performance in junior hockey earned him a spot in the NHL Entry Draft, where he was selected in the 3rd round, 73rd overall, by the New Jersey Devils in 1996.
