Biography
Mark McNeill is a Canadian ice hockey forward, born on February 22, 1993, in Edmonton, Alberta. He was drafted 18th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft after a standout junior career with the Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League (WHL). McNeill quickly became known for his combination of size, skill, and offensive ability, finishing his junior career with over 200 points.
Following his draft, McNeill struggled to secure a permanent roster spot with the Blackhawks, spending significant time in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Rockford IceHogs. He displayed consistent scoring and playmaking abilities and contributed to the IceHogs' playoff runs during his tenure. In 2016, he was traded to the Dallas Stars organization, where he continued to develop his game and gain valuable experience.
