Biography
Mark Mitera, born on October 12, 1987, in the United States, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his contributions to various teams in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL). Mitera played college hockey at the University of Michigan, where he was recognized for his defensive skills and leadership, helping the Wolverines secure multiple conference championships and an appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Drafted 19th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Mitera made his NHL debut during the 2009-2010 season. He subsequently played for the Ducks as well as the AHL affiliates, including the Iowa Chops and the Syracuse Crunch, where he continued to hone his skills and show his potential as a reliable defenseman.
