Biography
Mark Visentin, born on August 7, 1992, in Waterdown, Ontario, Canada, is a professional ice hockey goaltender known for his performances in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and various professional leagues. He began his junior career with the Niagara IceDogs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he quickly garnered attention for his exceptional skills and athleticism. In 2010, he was selected in the third round, 57th overall, by the Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL Entry Draft.
During his time in the OHL, Visentin led the IceDogs to a deep playoff run, earning honors such as the OHL Goaltender of the Year in 2012. He also gained international recognition, representing Canada at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships, where he played a crucial role in securing a bronze medal for his team. After his junior career, he joined the Coyotes’ AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates, and later played for other teams in the AHL and ECHL, establishing himself as a reliable goaltender.
