Martin O'Neill, born on March 1, 1952, is a former professional footballer and renowned manager from England. He began his playing career at Norwood and subsequently joined the youth ranks of Nottingham Forest, where he made his first-team debut in 1969. O'Neill enjoyed a successful playing career, primarily as a midfielder, accumulating over 400 appearances for the club and notably contributing to Forest's back-to-back European Cup victories in 1979 and 1980.
Transitioning to management, O'Neill is best known for his time with clubs such as Leicester City, Celtic, and Aston Villa.
