Jaite turned professional in 1980 and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 33 in 1987. He is widely recognized for his contributions to Argentine tennis during a time when the sport was flourishing in the country.
Throughout his career, Jaite reached the fourth round of the French Open in 1982 and the third round at both the US Open and Wimbledon.
