Mary Kovtun is a professional basketball athlete known for her remarkable performances in both national and international competitions. Born in 1995 in Seattle, Washington, she developed a passion for basketball at a young age, showcasing her talent at Rainier High School where she led her team to a state championship title in her senior year. After securing a scholarship, she played college basketball at the University of Washington, becoming the team captain and earning All-American honors during her junior and senior years.
Kovtun was drafted into the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) in 2017, where she played for the Seattle Storm, contributing significantly to the team's success. During her rookie season, she averaged 15 points and 7 rebounds per game, earning the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award.
