Mathew Sinclair was born on November 9, 1975, in Wellington, New Zealand. He is a former international cricketer known for his role as a right-handed batsman. Sinclair made his debut for the New Zealand national team in 1998 and played in both Test and One Day International (ODI) formats until his retirement from international cricket in 2005.
Throughout his career, Sinclair was noted for his impressive batting skills, particularly in Test matches. He achieved a significant milestone in 2002 when he scored a double century against the West Indies, becoming one of the few New Zealand players to reach such a feat. Sinclair's contributions to New Zealand cricket included representing the national team in 40 Test matches, where he accumulated over 1,500 runs, and 63 ODIs, scoring more than 1,500 runs as well.
