Matt Gay, born on March 15, 1994, in Orem, Utah, is a professional American football placekicker currently playing in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Utah, where he gained recognition for his versatility and accuracy, ultimately becoming the starting kicker for the Utes. Gay's collegiate performance culminated in receiving the Lou Groza Award in 2017, recognizing him as the nation's top collegiate placekicker.
In 2019, Gay entered the NFL after being selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the NFL Draft.
