Biography
Matthew Kalil, born on July 6, 1989, in Corona, California, is a former American football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he excelled as a key player on the Trojans football team, earning consensus All-American honors in 2011. His impressive collegiate performance paved the way for his entry into the NFL.
Kalil was selected fourth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, marking him as one of the top prospects of that year. During his rookie season, he made an immediate impact, starting all 16 games and earning a Pro Bowl selection, as well as being named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. He continued to establish himself as a formidable offensive lineman, contributing to the Vikings' success in the following seasons.
