Matt Ruchty, born on November 27, 1969, in Ontario, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his versatility on the ice. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 215 pounds, Ruchty played primarily as a forward and was recognized for his physical play and scoring ability. He was selected in the third round, 64th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft.
Ruchty began his National Hockey League (NHL) career with the New York Rangers during the 1991-92 season, where he made a notable impact in his debut year.
