Matt Stover, born on January 27, 1968, is a former American football placekicker who played 19 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was born in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he played college football. Stover entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1990 and played for several teams, most notably the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens.
