Matteo Bobbi, born on July 2, 1978, in Milan, Italy, is a former Formula 1 driver known for his four-season career in the sport. He began his motorsport journey in karting, where he showcased his talent and quickly moved up the ranks through various junior formulas, including Euro Formula 3000. Bobbi made his Formula 1 debut in 2000 with the Minardi team, where he competed in several races and gained valuable experience alongside seasoned drivers.
Throughout his career in Formula 1, Bobbi participated in a total of 34 races between 2000 and 2003, achieving his best finish of 8th place at the Italian Grand Prix in 2002. Although he did not secure any podium finishes, he was recognized for his skillful driving and ability to maximize the performance of the often underpowered Minardi cars.
