Matthew Nicks (born May 13, 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played as a defender in the Australian Football League (AFL) from 1993 to 2007. He was drafted by the Adelaide Crows in 1993 and made his debut later that same year. Over the course of his career, Nicks became known for his reliable performances and tenacious defensive abilities, amassing a total of 192 games and 64 goals.
