Matthew Rees, born on December 9, 1980, in Cardiff, Wales, is a retired Welsh Rugby Union player who gained recognition as a hooker. He began his professional career with Cardiff RFC before making a significant move to the Ospreys, where he played from 2003 to 2013. Rees was known for his robust scrummaging ability and leadership skills on the field.
