Matthew Spangher, born on April 23, 1987, is a former Australian rules footballer known for his tenure in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally drafted by the West Coast Eagles with the 18th pick in the 2005 AFL Draft, he made his debut in 2006 and displayed significant potential as a key defender. After playing 16 games for the Eagles, Spangher moved to the Sydney Swans in 2009, where he further developed his skills and contributed to the team's defensive structure.
During his time with the Sydney Swans, Spangher played a crucial role in their successful campaigns, including their premiership victory in 2012.
