Maureen Head is a former professional basketball player known for her exceptional skills and contributions to the sport during her career in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Born on April 12, 1975, in Springfield, Illinois, she gained prominence as a versatile forward, excelling in both scoring and rebounding. Head played college basketball at the University of Iowa, where she was a standout player, earning All-American honors and leading the Hawkeyes to multiple NCAA tournament appearances.
Following her collegiate success, Head was selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft in 1997 by the Minnesota Lynx.
