Max Birbraer, born on December 15, 1980, in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his contributions to the sport in both domestic and international arenas. A left winger, Birbraer began his junior career in Kazakhstan before moving to North America, where he played for various junior teams, including the Kootenay Ice in the Western Hockey League (WHL). His performances in the WHL led to his selection by the New Jersey Devils in the 8th round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
Birbraer's professional career spanned several leagues, including the NHL, AHL, and various European leagues. He played in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils and had a notable tenure in the AHL with teams like the Albany River Rats and the Philadelphia Phantoms.
