Maxim Barbashev is a Russian professional ice hockey player born on March 19, 1994, in Novokuznetsk, Russia. A left winger known for his speed and playmaking abilities, Barbashev began his career in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Metallurg Novokuznetsk before being drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 2nd round, 33rd overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Barbashev made his NHL debut with the St. Louis Blues during the 2016-2017 season and quickly established himself as a key player for the team.
