Biography
Michael Funk, born on August 15, 1986, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted 76th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 3rd round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Funk played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the Medicine Hat Tigers, where he showcased strong defensive skills and offensive potential, earning him a place in the NHL.
Funk made his debut in the National Hockey League during the 2007-2008 season with the Buffalo Sabres, appearing in a limited number of games.
