Michael Grabner is an Austrian professional ice hockey player born on October 5, 1987, in Villach, Austria. He began his career in the Austrian league before moving to North America, where he was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks 14th overall in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Grabner made his NHL debut during the 2009-2010 season and quickly became known for his speed and goal-scoring ability.
