Michael Moorer, born on November 12, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, is a retired American professional boxer who competed from 1988 to 2008. He is best known for his achievements in the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions, where he became a two-time world champion. Moorer captured the IBF light heavyweight title in 1994 and went on to win the WBA and IBF heavyweight titles in 1996, making history as the first southpaw to hold the heavyweight championship.
