Michael Ryder, born on March 31, 1980, in Bonavista, Newfoundland and Labrador, is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. Ryder was drafted in the 8th round, Calder Cup, of the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 by the Montreal Canadiens. He made his NHL debut during the 2003-2004 season and quickly established himself as a skilled right winger known for his scoring ability and offensive contributions.
Throughout his career, Ryder played for several teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, and New Jersey Devils. Notably, he won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011, a highlight that underscored his impact in crucial playoff situations.
