Biography
Michel Goulet is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward, born on April 21, 1960, in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He began his professional career in the National Hockey League (NHL) in the early 1980s, making his debut with the Quebec Nordiques during the 1979-80 season. Over the course of his career, Goulet became known for his exceptional scoring ability and playmaking skills.
Goulet enjoyed significant success with the Nordiques, accumulating 548 goals and 1,141 points over 1,188 regular-season games. He was a three-time NHL All-Star and played a vital role in the team's playoff runs during the 1980s. Notably, he was part of the 1984 Canada Cup-winning team, contributing to Canada’s victory on an international stage.
After leaving the Nordiques in 1992, Goulet continued his career with the Chicago Blackhawks for three seasons before retiring in 1996. His contributions to the sport were recognized when he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998.
