Mick Tingelhoff, born on May 22, 1940, in Ainsworth, Nebraska, was a National Football League (NFL) center who played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1962 to 1978. An undrafted free agent, he joined the Vikings in their inaugural season and quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the team. Over his 17-year career, Tingelhoff became known for his exceptional agility and skill in both pass protection and run blocking, contributing significantly to the Vikings’ success during the 1970s.
