Mickey McDonald is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skill as a shooting guard. Born on January 15, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, he developed a passion for the sport at an early age, eventually earning a scholarship to play collegiate basketball at the University of North Carolina. During his time with the Tar Heels, McDonald helped lead the team to an NCAA Championship in 2006, earning All-Conference honors for his performance.

After declaring for the NBA Draft, McDonald was selected in the second round by the Chicago Bulls in 2007. He carved out a successful career in the league, playing for several teams, including the Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Phoenix Suns.
