Biography
Miikka Salomäki, born on March 9, 1993, in Tammela, Finland, is a professional ice hockey forward known for his physical play and defensive capabilities. He began his junior career in the Finnish junior leagues before moving to the United States to develop further in the NCAA system with the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Salomäki was selected 52nd overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2nd round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Salomäki made his professional debut in the Finnish SM-liiga for HPK Hameenlinna in the 2011-12 season, where he quickly established himself as a reliable two-way player. His performance in the SM-liiga led to his North American career, where he played primarily in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals, earning accolades for his grit and determination. He made his NHL debut with the Nashville Predators in the 2014-15 season and subsequently appeared in multiple games across several seasons.
