Mike Alcorn is a retired professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a forward. Born on June 12, 1985, in Springfield, Illinois, he gained recognition for his performance at Central High School, where he was a standout player and earned All-State honors. Alcorn went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Illinois, where he led the team in scoring and rebounding and helped secure a Big Ten Championship in 2006.

After a successful college career, Alcorn was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks.
