Mike Calvin is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional shooting ability and basketball IQ. Born on April 15, 1985, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Calvin showcased his talents at John Ehret High School, where he earned All-State honors before continuing his career at Louisiana State University (LSU). During his college tenure, he became one of the school’s all-time leading scorers, and his performance earned him numerous accolades, including a selection to the All-SEC First Team.
After declaring for the NBA Draft, Calvin was selected in the second round by the Denver Nuggets in 2007. He played four seasons in the league, spending time with the Nuggets and later with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he solidified his reputation as a reliable perimeter shooter. Calvin’s highlight moment came during the 2009 playoffs, where he averaged over 15 points per game and played a crucial role in advancing his team to the second round.
