Biography
Mike Connolly, born on July 3, 1989, in Callander, Ontario, Canada, is a retired ice hockey player known for his skillful play as a forward. He developed his passion for the sport at a young age and showcased his talent while playing junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Connolly was selected in the 7th round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild.
During his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Connolly made a significant impact, leading the Bulldogs to win the NCAA championship in 2011. His outstanding performance earned him numerous accolades, including being named to the All-WCHA First Team and the NCAA West Regional All-Tournament Team. Following his college career, he signed with the American Hockey League (AHL) and played for several teams, including the Houston Aeros and the Albany Devils.
