Mike Harries is a retired American professional basketball player, known for his impact in both collegiate and professional leagues. Born on July 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, Harries played college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he was a standout guard from 2003 to 2007. During his time at UCLA, he helped lead the Bruins to multiple NCAA tournament appearances, including a run to the Final Four in 2006.

Following his college career, Harries was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets. He played five seasons in the NBA, primarily with the Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers, where he developed a reputation as a skilled shooter and a tenacious defender. Harries averaged 12.5 points and 4.2 assists per game over his professional career while contributing to his teams' playoff runs in 2009 and 2010.

After retiring from professional play in 2012, Harries transitioned into coaching, eventually becoming an assistant coach at UCLA.
