Mike Jenkins is a former professional American football cornerback, born on March 22, 1985, in Pahokee, Florida. He played college football at the University of South Florida, where he developed a reputation for his athleticism and ball-hawking skills. Jenkins was selected in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, marking the beginning of a notable career in the National Football League (NFL).
During his time with the Dallas Cowboys, Jenkins quickly established himself as a key player in the secondary. He recorded 45 tackles and three interceptions in his rookie season, contributing to the team’s playoff appearance.
