Mike Minter, born on January 15, 1974, in Newport News, Virginia, is a former professional American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Carolina Panthers. He was a standout player at the University of Nebraska, where he earned All-Big Eight Conference honors before being selected by the Panthers in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Minter quickly became a key component of the Panthers' defense, known for his hard-hitting style and leadership on and off the field.
