Mike Mularkey, born on November 19, 1961, in Miami, Florida, is a former professional American football player and coach known for his contributions to the NFL as both a tight end and a coach. He played college football at the University of Massachusetts, where he garnered attention for his athletic prowess. Mularkey was selected in the third round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, beginning a career that would span over a decade in the NFL.
As a player, Mularkey had a notable tenure with multiple teams, including the Steelers, the San Diego Chargers, and the Miami Dolphins, demonstrating versatility and skill as a tight end.
