Mike Munchak, born on March 5, 1960, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a former professional American football player and current coach. Renowned for his career as an offensive lineman, Munchak played 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Houston Oilers from 1982 to 1993. He was selected to nine Pro Bowls and earned a spot on the All-Pro team, securing his legacy as one of the premier players at his position during his tenure.
Following his playing career, Munchak transitioned into coaching, beginning with the Oilers' franchise and later serving as the offensive line coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2011, he was named head coach of the Tennessee Titans, where he led the team to a playoff appearance in 2015.
