Biography
Mike Robitaille, born on February 12, 1948, in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. He began his junior hockey career with the Fort Frances Canadians before being drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1966 NHL Amateur Draft. Robitaille made his NHL debut during the 1970-71 season and played a total of 15 games with the Maple Leafs.
Over his six-year professional career, Robitaille played for several teams in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the World Hockey Association (WHA), including the Buffalo Sabres and the Los Angeles Kings. Known for his defensive skills and physical style of play, he became a reliable presence on the ice, contributing to his teams' defensive efforts while also demonstrating an ability to contribute offensively. In total, Robitaille played 298 NHL games and 145 WHA games.
